Problem get router to connect to internet

I hope someone can point me in the right direction as this is driving
my mad.

I recently purchased a Cable and Wireless "Wireless 11g ADSL Router".

I can access the router fine however I can not get on to the internet
using tiscali broadband with a Sagem usb modem.

Can the router get to the internet with the appropiate settings without
the need for using the modem or do I need to somehow link the modem to
the router.

I have got settings off Tiscali but it is not obvious going through the
setup procedure for the router how it applies.

Sorry for the description being so vague but any pointers would be
appreciated.

Dear Almarni

if you have just brought a cable and wireless asdl router you will not need
the sagem usb modem because the router has a built in modem and when
configered correctly it will dial out to your isp and transmit your internet
wirelessly!
