Problem finding previous Posts

J

jj mac

Until yesterday I was always able to find my previous Posts in Windows Vista
General Discussion forum by searching for my user name, jj mac, therein. Now
when I carry out a search for jj mac I get a message saying that “your query
for jj mac did not return resultsâ€
I have been able to verify that my previous posts have not been deleted.
Why can I no longer locate them using the search command? What has gone
wrong?
Thank you.

Hi jj,

I am pleased to say that you are not the only one to have this problem as it
also happens to me. Sometimes it requires 2 or 3 attempts for the required
posts to be displayed. Again, this has only started to happen recently. What
has also started to happen is that ocassionally you get a 'Server
Application' error. I am not sure, but is it possible that these problems and
the problems that many people had earlier this week are connected? I enclose
a link to my post 'Sign In to Microsoft' (dated 1/23/2008) which also
contains a link to 'Windows Vista discussion groups not updating on web' (my
3rd post in this thread). Both these posts are in this newsgroup.

HI Dwarf
I was away for the weekend but when I returned today I found that my problem
had resolved itself -normality is restored.
I don't appear to have had your problem with the lost sign in tab. I have
book marked a link which takes me directly to the Windows Vista General
Discussion group where I find the sign in tab. If I go back to the MS
discussion groups general page I find the sign in tab there also. Anyhow I
have registered my agreement to your suggestion even though I don't have the
problem at present. Who knows, I might have it tomorrow.
Regards
