Problem finding JPG's in another user account

Running XP-SP2. I have no problem opening any pictures
(jpg's)in my user account, however; there is a group
maybe ten-fifteen that I cannot open in another user's
account on the same PC. All these pic's are in the
shared documents folder and on the second user account I
can access most jpg's, just not a select few as I
mentioned. Those few are not even shown as being there
in MS Digital Image Library. Any ideas?

Could these be shortcuts to files that have
been moved or deleted?

What happens when you try to open the files.
Do you receive an error?

Can the owner of the other account open the
files?

There is an issue with Digital Image Library
9 and certain Canon files...could that be the
problem?

.

No they are not shortcuts. I tried to open these files
from explorer also. In my user account, they are there
and I can open them w/o problem from within explorer. I
go over to the other user account and open explorer to
the particular folder and most of the pictures open w/o
problem like I mentioned in my prior post, but the one's
that I am having problems with only show a placeholder
rather than the thumbnail. When I open those files
windows Picture & Fax viewer comes up and says 'No
Preview Available'.

Also, when I click properties both the files that open
fine and the ones that do not say the file type is 'JPEG
Image'. But a difference between the two is with
a 'good' file I get all summary information present.
However, with one of the file's that I am having problems
with all that is displayed is a message stating 'Summary
properties are unavailable for selected source.'

Well, that's the whole issue that I am talking about. The
problems that I have described occur in the other user's
account. I have none of these problems in my account.

These are not Cannon files nor are they downloaded
files. These pics come from a Kodak camera and like I
said are in .jpg format.

The files in question are corrupted in some way.

It may be worth a try to open the files in the image
editing software you use in your Administrator
account and do a "Save As" to create new files.
