Problem deleting program

I am unable to delete Microsoft Flight Sim. using Control>add,remove or
the program uninstall. Nothing happens, not even an error message. Can
I just delete the program in Windows Explorer and then run Registry
Mechanic. This is a large program and I want it gone. Thanks for any
help.
 
Reinstalling the bad program to install missing elements, rebooting, then
using add remove again might work.
