Problem deleting emails

Hi! I am having problem deleting my emails from outlook. When I delete it, it
does not go away from the inbox. What it does is crosses the the whole
message and the subject with a gray line, but does not send it to delete
folder. How do I fix this?

That's how IMAP works. When you delete, all you do is *mark* the item
to get deleted from the server when the client so updates the server.
The delete is pending. You have to issue the Purge command to get all
delete-marked items to be physically deleted up on the server. The
red-line merely tells you on the client end that you are asking the
item gets deleted whenever a Purge gets sent to the server. IMAP is
not POP. They behave differently.
