Problem copying files between networked computers

I have two Dell's running XP Home networked together. I
can copy files from the desktop to the laptop, but I
can't copy from the lap top to the desk top. I get "
Access denied, make sure the disk is not full or write
protected and that the file is not currently in use.

Have you been able to in the past.
Check to make sure the Firewalls are turned off.
