Problem connecting

I get this message when I try to use Windows Mail with Gmail, any suggestions

That's a rather vague error message. There should be more to it than
just that. Right-click on your error message, copy, then paste it into
a reply here.
We can't do much troubleshooting without the complete error message.

Try this: right-click on the [GMAIL] folder, choose Synchronization Setting,
then choose Don't Synchronize.

Try this: right-click on the [GMAIL] folder, choose Synchronization
Setting,
then choose Don't Synchronize.
