Hi all
Problem connecting to Web folder(webdav) from XP clients
I have a win2000pro with IIS 5.0 working as a web server. I have
one virtual folder on the server.
I have basic authentication access.
I can connect from the address field in IE 6.x from an XP client
I can connect from an win98se client with IE 5.5x via my computer
and add web folder.
I can't connect from an XP pro client running IE 6.x using the wizard
"add a network
place" the response I get is the server repeatedly asking me for my
user name and
password. The same thing happens when I use IE 6.x file - open as Webb
folder.
When I finally getting tired of entering my CORRECT name and password
I click the
cancel button and receive the following
"The folder you entered does not appear to be valid. Please choose
another!"
I know that there is a problem with IE 6.x regarding webdav so I hope
this is the
right ng for this question.
