Problem connecting to tsweb on Win XP Pro

I *almost* have this working - but not quite ;-(

I have installed the IIS component, chosen an easy (for me) to
remember TCP port and set a port redirection on my router. I have
opened the chosen TCP Port in the software firewall on the PC (I also
opened the port on the router though it seems to make no difference as
long as the port is forwarded).

When I connect using http://[PCs local network address]:[my chosen tcp
port]/tsweb it works just fine.

If I ty to connect using http://[Router local network address]:[my
chosen tcp port]/tsweb IE reports it cannot find the web page (though
I'm sure this worked the other day when I tried it).

If I try to connect using http://[Internet IP address}:[my chosen tcp
port]/tsweb I get the log in page but when I click to connect I get
the following message:

"VB Script: Remote Desktop Disconnected. The client could not connect
to the tremote computer. Remote connections might not be enabled or
the computer might be too busy to accept new connections..."

Note: I am actually testing this from inside my network, but enterting
my public facing IP address from my ISP. Given that I can reach the
log in page, I'm assuming this is not the problem.

Do I need to open or forward other ports? I am assuming that all the
traffic will go via the specified tcp port, but is this just used to
establish the connection and then another port used?

TIA
Paul

Sorry - figured it out - needed to forward 3389 as well - looks like
the tcp port you specify in IIS is only for making the initial
contact. Once you actually connect, the Remote Desktop runs over
3389.

So - a follow up question - presumably this means it is impossible to
set up several PCs on your local network to be avilable externally (as
you can only specify 3389 requests to pass through to a single PC)?

Could externally tsweb onto one PC on your local network and then
remote connect from that machine to others?

Thanks
Paul

You may want to modify TS port. More details can be found this slink:
