Problem browsing pictures in IE6

I used to be able to open one of several pictures in a folder with IE6 and
use the forward and back arrows to browse forward and back through the other
pictures in the folder. Now when I open a picture, the arrows are
inoperable and I'm unable to browse. Is there an option in IE6 that was
reset? I can't find an obvious option or solution. Thanks for your help.
