Problem booting XP

I use XP and my PC is not booting. I get a screen that lists the components
installed, PCI etc, then a message appears saying "Verifying DMI Pool Data"
and nothing else happens. Can anyone help with this problem

My HHD was not recognized using the BIOS I have now sorted out the problem
