problem booting from locked SDHC card

Hello,
I am attempting to boot XPe from a 4GB SD high capacity card. I managed to
boot from it but only when it is not locked. Also it seems that when i boot
from it, the contents are changed.
Is there any method for booting XPe from a locked SDHC card?
Any help would be appreciated

XP/XPe requires read-write drive access. Try adding EWF with RAM-REG mode.
In theory, a locked SDHC is a read-only disk like CD-ROM, and EWF with
RAM-REG should protect the drive.
