I have a new computer with XP Pro. Everytime I turn it
on, it beeps then does nothing. Fans in the box are
turning, but nothing ever shows up on the screen. If I
then hit the restart button, it starts up fine and seems
to work fine from there. The beep is a "stutter" beep.
Kind of like: beeeeeep-be-beep.

Thank you!

Sounds like incompatible hardware. Do you have a network card installed?

I had a Netgear card installed into an Asus motherboard (Asus A7M266), and
it did the same - i.e. refused to boot up a few times, then suddenly came to
life.

Unless you have put a new card in yourself, then I would be inclined to take
it straight back to the shop (if possible), and demonstrate it to them.
