Problem accessing existing Word files/receive "normal" template sa

All of a sudden I cannot open any of my existing word files (CD, USB or hard
drive) and I get a 'normal' template save box stating the normal template has
been changed and do I want to save it. Then I say 'no' and it eventually
permits me to close the box and get back to word.

I've reloaded word and same keeps happenning.
 
Both are symptoms of problems caused by Norton AntiVirus. Try disabling its
Office Plug-in.
