Private folders

New to this and not sure if this is the right place to post this but.....

I have been trying to make my folder a private one so that the kids can't play around with it when they are logged on. I've tried to do as the help shows me but when I get to the privacy settings it won't let me tick the "let this folder be private" box. What could the reasons be for this?

I'm not the most computer literate person in the world so any advice needs to be easy to follow!

You won't be able to select that option unless you have formatted your hard disk/partition using 'NTFS'. Have a look at the following articles by MVP Alex Nichol:
