Printronix MVP Self test help REWARD!

I need help with Printronix MVP shuttle dot matrix printer. To
perform the Self tests the printer apparently needs to be
'unlocked' in some way.

With the cover open there are five pushbuttons/lights next to a
set of LED numeral diplays. Like this:

LED displays MODE R/P ADDR DATA 2ND
--- --- --- RDY CHK 8LPI TOF FUNC
/ / / / / / PB PB PB PB PB
/ / / / / / LITE LITE LITE LITE LITE
--- --- ---

Powering on the printer it comes up with RDY flashing. Pressing
RDY causes it to burn steady. All the pushbuttons and lights seem
to work ok but there is, I'm told, a sequence to unlock the panel
and allow me to run different print tests. I've tried all kinds
of things but haven't happened upon the right combo yet.
