Printing

K.

I recently installed a Canon i960 printer in addition to
the HP LaserJet printer we have running through a
network. The next day everything worked fine but today I
got an error saying that the Spooler Sub System had some
sort of error and now I have no printers at all. I can't
add new printers because it says the print spooler
service is not running. I tried rebooting and the same
thing happend. Any ideas on how to fix this problem?
Thanks.

PS. I'm running Windows XP

Do this:

From START -> RUN -> type in "services.msc" (no quotes). When the
services dialog opens, scroll on down to Print Spooler. It should be
listed as Automatic. In other words, when XP starts the Print Spooler
service starts up. If it says Manual or Disabled, change it to
Automatic and reboot the machine.

You can change the service by double clicking on it and following the
directions in the subsequent dialog box that will open.
