printing

I put all new ink in my printer and now the colors will print but the black
will not. How do I fix this?
 
Was this a refill or new ink cartridges?

Did you run a cleaning cycle after the change of ink?
 
I have purchased refills and new cartridges, run the cleaning cycle and still
cant get the black text to print, any other help would be much appreciated!
 
Was it printing before the cartridge ran out.... and did you leave it for a
while in an empty state?
 
Yes i did leave it for a while before i changed the cartridges but they were
not completely dry especially the black, it had less than half in but i
decided to change both at the same time.
