Printing with Remote Desktop Connection

The issue I am having is printing to a local printer, once I have established
a remote desktop connection in Windows XP Pro. I use Cisco VPN client
software to get past our firewall, once past the firewall I connect to the
network using the "Remote Desktop Connection" everything works fine but, I
would like to be able to print after connecting remotely, the only printers
I see are the networked printers, not the local printer attached to the PC.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There has to be a printer driver on the remote matching your local printer.
Also, make sure that the printers box is checked in the local resources tab
of the RD connection properties.
