Printing with markup

Guest

I'm trying to print a document showing markup. The result is that not all of
the paper is used to print, and there is a large gap at the bottom of the
page even though my page settings are on A4. Is it possible to print using
the full A4 page with markup?

Thanks, Gary

Your problem is more likely related to your paragraph formatting or -- more
likely -- manual page breaks. Paragraph formatting would be "keep with next"
and "keep lines together" in the paragraph that begins the page after the
gap. It is quite possible to print on a full page with tracked changes
showing and printing.

Note though, this is a proofing tool. It is not designed to give you a
finished product, but a draft to use for editing.

Only if you disable balloons.

So I can't print a markup document (with balloons) using a whole sheet of
paper without it shrinking?

Where do you expect the balloons to go? You can specify the percentage of
the page used for the balloons, but the page has to be shrunk some to allow
for the balloons?

I think that he would like the page shrunk width-wise rather than have the
aspect ratio maintained as it is so that the pagination is maintained
(intact).

Hope this helps.

The whole idea of balloons, however, is to preserve the exact appearance of
the page, albeit reduced. This was designed in response to requests from
typesetters of magazines and books who wanted to be able to mark up copy
without disturbing the placement of graphics and the like.
