Printing to generic text printer

I have written a vb.net program that accesses a text database (because I
can't get to real database - another post).

I populate a text box with some printer commands and the data I want to
print.

Does anyone have an example of print logic to print plain text?

I can print the data to laser printers, but I need to print to a Blazer
Barcode printer, which is identified as a plain text printer.
