Printing to default printer

If I select a different printer than my default printer for document A, after
it's printed and I go on to print document B, it's still printed to the
different and not my default printer. Is there a way to remember the default
printer?
 
Whenever you select a different printer in the Print dialog, it becomes the
active printer for the rest of the Word session. For information on how to
add a button that will print from a specific printer and then reset the
active printer back to the default, see
