printing threads

I know this is "off-topic", so please excuse; this is really the only
discussion group I frequent.
When I double click a thread it will open it in a new continuous window with
each message in its own box. At the bottom right of each box are icons for
reply, print, and copy. When you click print, the output is a nice readable
size with no extraneous stuff. However, there is no way to print all the
messages in that thread in that format. If I want to print out all the
messages (to save for future reference), I have to go to the ->>file--> print
command and that prints out everything on the page (office discussion group
treeview on the left) and subsequently the print on the page is about 4
point--just barely readable.
So, is there a way to print out the continuous thread of the topic other
than that?
Thanks

You might want to try a different newsreader--there are several newsreaders
available, such as Agent, Thunderbird, etc. The print functionality, when
using the web portal, seems pretty lame.

I experimented with the newsreader built into Outlook Express. It seems to
do a pretty decent job. You can select the message(s) that you want to print,
and then right-click and choose Combine and Decode. The selected messages are
combined into one output, which you can then print, without getting all of
the side banner garbage from the web portal.

Note: For those reading this thread who were *not* using the web portal,
here is a link to the thread in question:
