printing subsytem

My printing substem keeps going missing!
All of my (3) printers work fine until I connect to the
internet. When connected, if I try to print, I get the
message 'printing subsytem unavailable. The only work
around solution I can find is to reboot, when everything
works fine again until I have been on the net for a few
minutes and then try to print again when the subsystem
goes awol again.
Is there such a thing as a 'backdoor virus' which can
cause this problem (neither Norton Antivirus nor Zone
Alarm have detected anything) or is there another solution?

Check ZoneAlarm. It could be blocked the print spooler from access

solution?

In case anyone else gets this problem, the solution is to
restart the print spooler by:

start / run then type

net stop spooler

then

net start spooler

Thanks to Steven for the solution
