printing smaller sized pages

Hello. I'm trying to print small, 4 x 7 inch sheets with some text for
invitations. Even though I changed the paper size to 4 x 7 in Word and in my
printer options, the document prints in the center of the page (as if it were
a letter sized sheet) instead of off to the side where my paper sits in the
tray. How can I change the format so that the document sits in the upper
left hand part of the screen (which I'm presuming will remedy my problem, but
I'm not sure). Thanks.

Did you tell your printer what size paper you're using?

Apparently Word is expecting your paper to be fed from the center. If this
is not an option for your printer, then you'll need to lay out your document
on a standard sheet of paper, increasing the right and bottom margins
accordingly.
