printing slides with notes

Guest

Hi all,

I am attempting to print some really large powerpoint
presentations. When I select that I want to print the
presentation I am telling powerpoint that I want to print
notes. THis is printing all slide content along with
note content for the slides that have notes. The problem
is that powerpoint is generating a black frame underneath
the slide for slides that contain no note content. Is
this a print preference I can change?

I have noticed in the past when printing slides with
notes...no black frame was printed, but the slide is
moved up on the page...as if powerpoint is making a
placeholder for notes that arent there. How can I change
this weird print formatting issue?

Thanks

Check your notes master (View/Master). Make sure your notes area doesn't
have a fill applied. Also go to B/W View (View/Black and White) and then
right-click the notes area on the master and select "automatic" or
"black with white fill."

Hopefully that will help.

Re the slide being moved on the page, you may need to reapply the notes
master to that slide.

Alternatively, you can just edit the notes pages directly (View->Notes
Page). Note that changing the black and white view only affects printing in
B&W.
