i am having problems printing anything from microsoft word. when i click on
the printer icon, it states pending for owner. what is this?

check the list of print jobs. Perhaps there's a job pending that's unable to
process, and is holding up the queue? Is there a printer icon in your System
Tray (lower right-corner of the screen, where the time is; you my need to
click a left-pointing arrow to show all the icons)?
If this doesn't help at all, try posting in the Printing Fonts newsgroup. The
experts there might have an idea what's going on. Be sure to include
- Version of Word
- Version of Windows
- Type of printer
