I want to print something on a B6-sized card. Although I've changed the
paper size to exact custom measurements in both Page Setup and Printer Setup,
the printed result is still offset. Print Preview shows a much larger page
than I set up, with my text and graphics in the center of that huge page. I
can understand that that's an indication it's not going to print correctly,
but I don't know what other adjustments to make.

There are two sizes you need to set:

- The PAPER size, set in your printer driver

- The SLIDE size, set in PowerPoint

When you print, PowerPoint will scale the current SLIDE size to fit the current
PAPER size if you choose the "Scale to fit paper" option in PPT's Print dialog
box. Otherwise it uses the current SLIDE size and centers that on the chosen
PAPER size. More or less ... it's slightly different but let's not go there
yet.

So:

Set both the SLIDE and PAPER to B6 and print either with or without "Scale to
fit paper" checked

or

Set SLIDE to some size that's proportional to B6, set B6 in the printer driver's
PAPER size setting and print with "Scale to fit" checked.
