Printing: "not enough space"

D

Don Culp

I have made a clean install of Win XP Pro on a new computer. Whenever I
print from any application I get a popup window (without a title) that says
"There is not enough space on your PC. Make room on the hard disk by
deleting some files." Except for this, printing then proceeds without a
problem. All of my hard drives have at least 2 GB of free space so this
cannot be the problem. (The files I am trying to print are less than 100
KB.) Is there some additional environmental variable that I have to set
(beyond those already set by the XP installation)?

Thanks,
Don Culp

What kind of printer are you using? I found issues using Brother printers
with wrong drivers installed (specifically Brother HL-1440). Verify that you
have the Windows XP drivers installed for the printer.

If in fact Brother HL-1440, uninstall the software that came with Brother
printer. Download and install the Brother HL-1440 printer driver for
Windows XP at http://solutions.brother.com/hl1400/download/dl-win-xp.html.

Hope this helps.
