Printing from Vista machine to Win98 attached printer

I have a new Vista workstation which I have added to my existing home network
of WindowsXP and Windows98 machines. My printer is attached to a Windows98
machine. I am unable to get this new system to attach to the Windows98
attached printer. My WindowsXP machine has no problems printing to it.

Is is possible to attach to a Windows98 based printer across a local network
from a Vista machine?

Thanks,

Officially, no, Unofficially... possibly. Install the printer on a local
port and then change the port to be the ne on the 98 PC and it may work.
Should be something like: \\98PC\printer where 98PC is the name of the 98
PC on the network and printer is the shared name of the printer.
