Printing from Dell Inspiron 9300 to Dell AIO 924

Hi there! Can anybody help? Trying to print from a Dell Inspiron 9300 to a
Dell AIO 924. It falls down at 99% on the print bar (sometimes less); the
printer manager then locks, i.e. I can't remove the job from the task list
(although it may say 'deleting'). the printer thinks it is working: it says
printing on the LCD and asks for paper if it is empty. I then have to shut
down to clear it completely. Any advice appreciated: is this a memory issue?
I have installed new drivers to no avail. Thank you!

Did you connect this printer to the PC prior to installing the software?
You MUST install the printer's software first during which you'll be
prompted when to connect it and when to turn it on.
Uninstall & reinstall Printer

Thank you. Have tried this, but without success. The 'test' print on set-up
only got to 40% and then stopped.
