Printing Forms/Switchboard

Greta

Access 2002...
I built a little database to help our Admin track employee
training and participation in certain programs.
Now I need to put together a manual so everyone will be
able to use it.
I want to include pictures of the switchboard, various
forms and all so I can tell them exactly what button they
should push.
How do I print the switchboard, just like it looks on the
screen?
Is there a way to do that?
Help me...
Thanks,
Greta

there is a free program called SNAGIT. If you can't find
it email me and I will send it to you.

Nope...didn't work.
Also, I work for a VERY LARGE corporation and they frown
on downloading any kind of programs that they didn't
create or buy themselves.
Isn't there any other way?
Thanks,
Greta

Hi Greta,

Alt+PrtScr copies the active window to the clipboard. You then have to
paste it into a paint or photo editing program so you can crop it to
show just the bit you need.

The little Paint program that's a standard feature of Windows will do
the job OK. The MS Photo Editor that Kevin mentioned exists on many
computers but may not be in the Start menu; search for PHOTOED.EXE to
find out if it's on yours.

If you're going to be pasting the screenshots into Paint for cropping
and then into a Word document for laser printing, you'll get the best
results by temporarily reducing the colour depth of your display before
you do Alt+PrtScr. The 16 or 32-bit colour depth (millions of colours)
of most modern displays is totally wasted on a laser printer that can
barely manage 16 shades of grey, and if you use lots of these images the
Word document can grow to an uncomfortable size. (You normally get to
the colour depth setting by right-clicking on the desktop and selecting
Properties, then the Settings tab.)

Alt-print screen. Then just fire up ms-word, and paste.

You can also use print screen button. (print screen = full screen, alt-print
screen = current window/application.

If you paste the picture into word, and the check the "float over text
button", you essentially turn word into a desktop publishing system where
you can place your pictures anywhere on the screen with complete freedom.
You also have options to crop etc.

All of the following screen shots of ms-access where done using print screen
button
