Printing Envelopes from database.

This is probably really simple but I would like a user to be able to print
off envelopes from a database held in my website. If I use the drw to produce
a list of names and addresses it places them in pages (with page details top
and bottom) which obviously does not work as this info is also printed out. I
would love to find an solution so the user just has to press a Print Envelope
button.. Anna.

Sorry, you're in the wrong group. This is the FrontPage group (for
designing web pages) You want the Word group or Access group.

To print envelopes you'd usually do a mail merge into Word, or your word
processor (whatever it might be), from a data source such as a spreadsheet
or database.

Can be done, but requires much more effort from the user than "just
pushing a button".

The DRW page needs a print stylesheet (see
http://www.alistapart.com/articles/goingtoprint/)to format the address
label and hide all the unnecessary bits. It would have instructions for
the user to set up the browser and printer (which would be hidden when
printing).

The user will have to change (set to nothing or spaces) the header and
footer in the browser, and probably change the page orientation from
portrait to landscape (depends on the envelope and printer)

It would probably be easier for the user to copy the address from the
browser into Word, and print the envelope from there.
