Looking for a solution for a PowerPoint user using XP. When printing color,
the lines do not appear. I've tried numerous adjustments to no avail.

We'd need more specifics.

What version of PowerPoint (I know you mentioned XP, but people frequently get
the Windows and PPT versions mixed up. You probably haven't but we may as well
make sure).

What version of Windows?

What printer and is the driver up-to-date? If it's a "bi-lingual" printer, are
you printing in PostScript or PCL/whatever mode?

The lines in question: were they drawn in PowerPoint? What if the user
thickens them? Changes the color?

And finally, your subject says "turns out solid" but later you say "do not
appear". The two don't quite line up ... can you explain further?
