Printing Comments w/Document

Got a user giving me grief. Is there a way to print comments next to where
they were inserted?

I went to Tools > Options > Print and selected Comments.
I went to Tools > Options > View and selected Screen Tips.

When we print Word 2000, all we get are the initials. I can print the
comments alone, use the Print What feature, however he wants "bubbles" on the
page w/his comments next to the location he inserted them on the document.

Balloons were introduced in Word 2002; there is no way to get them in Word
2000.

Thank you. That's what I've been telling him, but I said I would continue
checking.

Curious though. I found a reference that said in Pre-Word 2k, they would
print as footnotes and Post-Word 2k, they would print as balloons. What
about Word 2k? Are they even supposed to print? Cause we got nothing.

Perhaps someone else can help. I skipped Word 2000, going directly from Word
97 to Word 2002, and in any case I almost never use comments, so I really
don't know how they worked in Word 2000.
