Printing animated slides

Hi.

The instructor of a class that I'm taking distributes the lecture slides in
powerpoint format.
One problem I noticed is that some slides are shown in animation in class -
for example, one slide that progressively displays different components of
the slide in a sequence of 5 or even 6 slides on the projector.
However, these "animated" slides comprise only one "slide" in the file and
print as only one slide.
Can I print these slides in progression, so that the print out correctly
portray what was shown through the projection in sequence?
Because these "animated" slides sort of tell a tale, the story seems to be
all lost when they are printed out as a single slide.

Thanks.
