printing A5 landscape on A4 portrait

I have a document that is A4 landscape and I know how to print up to 4 pages on the same A4 sheet and how to scale to fit. I can print 4 A6 landscape on an A4 but I cannot work out how to print 2 x A5 on A4 paper. Each time it comes out as 2 landscape one above the other on A4 portrait but not to scale (ie too small) or it gives me 2 A6 landscape
Hope this makes sense and someone can help!!
I'm getting a bit annoyed..
