Printing a .prn file to USB port

Hi everybody,
I am using Windows XP and a HP LaserJet 1020 printer, that is attached to
USB port. I tried to dend the file to the printer using the Copy command, but
it failed. The error message was something like "can't recognise the device".
Any suggestions?

Yes the DOS command shell does not recognize USB.
