If you have XP Home Edition, there is no security tab. Rightly or
wrongly, Microsoft doesn't think that home users need to make security
settings on shared resources.
If you have XP Professional, you can disable simple file sharing to
get access to the security tab:
1. Open My Computer and click Tools | Folder Options | View.
2. Scroll to the end of the advanced settings.
3. Un-check "Use simple file sharing (recommended)".
