"Printers" folder disapeares

I had the problem stopping PrintSpooler. I could not solve
it so I scheduled to restart service immediately. Now I've
got another trouble - Spooler service is running, shared
printers are visible but there is no shared "Printers"
folder and users cannot print and cannot connect printers
on this printserver. Following error appears in System Log:
"Event Type: Error
Event Source: Print
Event Category: None
Event ID: 61
Date: 23.01.2004
Time: 17:36:51
User: DOMAIN\Username
Computer: Printserver name
Description:
The document Microsoft Word - bla-bla-bla.doc owned by
USERNAME failed to print. Win32 error code returned by the
print processor: 122 (0x7a)."

HW - Compaq Proliant DL360 G2
SW - Windows 2000 Server SP4

Thank you
Elzhan

Have you tried to stop and start the spooler again? It
sounds to me that the spooler still is having trouble.
Have you deleted all print ques?

I dont think the error message tells you what is wrong but
here is an article that describes it:

Thanks!
It's really looks like non-spooler error. But the problem
still persists - Nobody can print, "Printers" share is
absent. Restart of Spooler helps but it is not a solution -
it occurs once-twice a day.
In the articles mentioned that this bug can be fixed by
latest SP. But there alredy SP4 is installed.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Hi, having the same problem myself, after installing the last critical updates from MS. Similiar happened to my ISA server although it was the ISA service control service that was affected. In this case I think it is the Server Control Service which is causing the problem, not allowing the spooler service to operate correctly, how to rectify the Server Control Service I do not know.
