Can anyone pleeease tell me how to check how much ink is left in my ink
cartridges. I have a hp deskjet 840c printer and am running windows xp of
course, I have looked everywhere but can't find where it tells me about my
ink!!!!

Not all printers have the tools to check remaining ink. You can try
downloading the latest drivers, but don't keep your hopes up.

You will know from the results when it runs dry.
