Printer Uninstalling

After total freeze-up due to spyware/adware we had
Windows XP uninstalled and reinstalled by a local
technician. Since then our printer Lexmark all-in-one
X83 uninstalls everytime we turn off the computer. When
we install it it works fine, but turning off the
computer disappears it. We have researched this
thoroughly with lexmark support and they say it must be
related to the reinstallment of Windows XP.
What can we do to correct this?
