I have a similar problem: documents often get stuck in the print queue.
They are not paused, nor is the printer. I am printing to the Adobe
Distiller driver. (It works OK on two other machines where I have the
same setup - just not on this one!)
If these stuck documents fix themselves, it seems to be consistently on
startup. But sometimes I can repeatedly re-start to no avail.
