Printer sharing problem

I have a Samsung ML-4500 shared from a PC running XP Pro with service pack 2
installed. We have one machine still running Windows 98 that cannot connect
to this printer. Does anyone know if this is a Win98/XP issue or is it
possible I'm running up against the 10 user connection limit with XP?
 
Ensure the name is 12 or less characters, and does not contain spaces or
other non alphanumeric characters.
