Printer share name

When I assign a printer share name I create a meaningful name such as
TomsLaser, but when that printer is advertised in dialog boxes to
workstation users it appears as Brother H1430L Family, which means
little to people who are not computer nerds.

How can I force the printer to be advertised as TomsLaser?

How can I force the printer to be advertised as TomsLaser?

It is rather anoying that it shows the
printer's native name rather than sharename,
which is what you intended it to be named to the outside world.

The best I can suggest is to change the name in the
Printers folder to something more meaningful.
