Printer settings in the registry

Running XP Pro SP 2. Can anyone here tell me where printer settings for
locally installed IP printers are kept in the registry? Also, where are
the "print preferences" settings kept? Is there even a standard place
for them in Windows, or is that the kind of thing determined by the
manufacturer when the driver is written? Thanks.
 
If you do not know the answer to your first question, suggest you leave
the Registry alone. You may create additional problems not only for the
printer but for your entire system. You may want to contact your printer's
tech support to answer your question.

I'll keep your advice in mind. This does not change the fact that I am
still seeking the information.

I did but they seem to be taking days to reply. I have faith that
someone here may helpfully give me the info I am seeking instead of
trying to advise me like you. Thanks anyway for your reply.
