Printer Migration questions

Guest

My organization is migrating 5 NT 4.0 print servers to 2 Win2K print servers.
The questions I have is how to migrate our 3000 Workstations printers. We
have a few 98 and NT 4 machines but most of them are Win2K and XP. I know
there is a utility you can use on the NT4 machines to change the printers in
the login script. Is there such a tool for 2K and XP machines? This is a NT
4 domain. Our plan is to stand up the 2 new print servers and leave the 5
legacy servers up until we are sure all desktops have been migrated to the
new print servers.

Thanks in advance,

JR

Thanks for your reply. The server printer migration is easy, the difficult
part is pointing 8500 98,2000 and XP desktops to the new print servers. Any
ideas anyone?

JR,

As mentioned to you in my previous posting, I'm by no means an expert in
this subject matter Printer Migration.

Maybe someone else on this newsgroup who's had experience scripting would
know how to make 8500 client desktops (Windows 98,2000 and XP) point to the
new print servers.
