Printer icon not wanted in system tray

In order to clear up some problems I couldn't figure out how
to solve any other way, I ran a "reinstall/repair" from the
WinXP installation CD (i.e., booted from the CD, hit "enter"
for install, then hit R for repair).

Everything seems to work ok, except that there's now an icon
for my printer in the system tray, and I can't figure out
how to get rid of it (the Printer is a Dell A 940).

Before I did the repair, the icon did not appear in the
systray after a reboot. It appeared only after the first
time I printed something after a reboot. I prefer it to be
that way, since there are enough icons in the systray
already.

I've looked at preferences in the print dialog, but nothing
there seems to relate to this.

I assume the solution is pretty simple but I just can't find
it.

Any idea how to get rid of that icon?

Thanks.

It's probably a Dell printer monitor software that's running. Installed
by Dell, have you asked Dell tech support?

Actually, I feel a bit foolish. I had looked in msconfig &
didn't think I say it. Took a look again just to be sure,
and there is was. Turn it off and all happy now.

Thanks for the reponse.
