printer driver

I have a refurbished OkiData ML 184 Turbo. It won't work at all on a
parallel hookup. OkiData finally told me that the series pc board has to be
removed to use the printer on a parallel hook-up. I took the board out and
it still won"t work on parallel. I pu the board back in and tried the
Generic driver It works fine on a series hookup but leaves much to be
desired for printer functions. OkiData says the proper driver is included
with XP. I found ML 184 Turbo (IBM) driver, but it doesn't work either.
I've tried Epson 9-pin driver, Epson 24, IBM Proprint, OkiData 192, no luck.
Where di I go from here? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you installed the latest drivers for this printer from Okidata?

If, after contacting Okidata, and after installing their own drivers, it still
doesn't work properly, then you're SOL IMHO.
