I have an Epson 880 that I want to hook up to a new computer.I need
about 8' of cable to do this but the parallel cable is only 6' long.I
thought of going USB,but the new comp.is USB2 only,and I'm sure that the
880 is USB1.Will it work? Thank you, Ed

Or you can buy a new parallel cable that is longer. Most work well to at
least 25'.

Meantime, plug the USB in and see if it works. I think a USB1 device will
work on a USB2 computer, but someone else will probably know better than I
on that.
